The largest radio dish in the world is the Arecibo Telescope in Puerto Rico. It is built into a natural bowl in the ground and is 305 metres (1,000 feet across).
The largest fully steerable radio dish in the world is the Green Bank Telescope (completion 1998) in West Virginia, USA. The diameter of its dish is 100 metres (325 feet).
The largest array of radio telescopes on one site is the Very Large Array (VLA) which consists of 27 dishes and is located near Socorro, New Mexico, USA.
